Guide: Finding LinkedIn Post Interactions & Automating Follow Ups

The Claymation "April Fools acquisition" follow up

Hey, GTM Engineers!

Hope ya’ll don’t go throwing office supplies at me.

Yesterday was April Fools and many of you got fooled 🙃

Claymation did not get acquired by Clay for $1,000,000.

It did help acquire 300+ new subscribers and 250+ of new LinkedIn connections in 24 hours. Kinda surpassed my expectations…

Claymation April Fools Acquisition Prank

The results so far:

👍 650+ post interactions
🚀 300+ new subscribers and growing
👥 300+ new LinkedIn connections and growing
👀 100k post impressions (well, 95k but it'll get there today!)

Similar to any marketing campaign, my goal is to leverage this moment to build on the moment. There’s a couple new ways we can do this in Clay with some new social signals:

  1. Build a list of everyone that interacted with the post

  2. Connect with those that I’m not connected with already on LinkedIn

  3. Send them a message after they connect

  4. Share link to this post

After all, I gotta reach them somehow to make sure they’ve been pranked.

You guessed it, we can automate the entire workflow.

Let’s dive in 👇️

🎯 Objective:

Capture interactions from a LinkedIn post and automate connecting with those who are not currently connected with me.

End goal = leverage the moment to build my network.

This is also super useful for marketers who want to capture more activity and leads from high interaction marketing events such as:

  • Funding announcements

  • Big product announcements

  • Significant partnership announcements

  • Conferences

⚙️ Workflow
